Combo Mock Feb. 9 Edition

Along with our own mock drafts, Matt Geiger and I will also publish a mock draft at the end of the week in which we alternate picks.  This week, I had the odd selections, while Geiger has the evens.

Justin Worsley's most recent mock draft
Matt Geiger's most recent mock draft
Justin's 2014 mock draft

1. Kansas City Chiefs (2-14) - Geno Smith (QB/West Virginia)

Until the Chiefs find a new quarterback via trade or free agency, this pick will remain a signal caller. - JW

Jacksonville improves a subpar pass rush with the best linebacker in the draft. - MG

3. Oakland Raiders (4-12) - Star Lotulelei (DT/Utah)

Arizona has surrendered at least 50 sacks per year since making the Super Bowl in 2009.

If Fitzpatrick is gone then Glennon will be the starter from day one. - MG

Jets replace Mike DeVito with an upgrade. - JW

10. Tennessee Titans (6-10) - DeMarcus Milliner (CB/Alabama)

Tennessee adds the best corner in the draft to provide help for Jason McCourty. - MG

11. San Diego Chargers (7-9) - Johnathan Hankins (DT/Ohio State)

A position of need in San Diego for a while now.  This draft is deep in defensive tackles. - JW

12. Miami Dolphins (7-9) - Terrance Williams (WR/Baylor)

Miami finally gets a deep threat target for young QB Ryan Tannehill. - MG

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9) - Sheldon Richardson (DT/Missouri)

Adding another tackle next to Gerald McCoy could make the Bucs already good run defense unstoppable. - JW

14. Carolina Panthers (7-9) - Dion Jordan (DE/Oregon)

Carolina has had defensive issues for a long time, and will almost certainly address them. - MG

15. New Orleans Saints (7-9) - Manti Te'o (LB/Notre Dame)

New Orleans defense struggled in 2012 and fixing it will be necessary in the draft. - JW

16. St. Louis Rams (7-8-1) - Kenny Vaccaro (S/Texas)

The Rams got amazing productivity from their corners and add a true playmaker at safety. - MG

17. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8) - Jonathan Banks (CB/Mississippi State)

Pittsburgh will most likely cut Ike Taylor this offseason, which means they need to replace him too. - JW

18. Dallas Cowboys (8-8) - Lane Johnson (OT/Oklahoma)

The Bears had issues all across the line and Warmack might be the best lineman in the draft. - MG

Rey Maualuga will probably not be in Cincinnati next season, so expect the Bengals to upgrade.

The Rams add an anchor to their line with Fluker who can play tackle or guard. - MG

Not a typical pick for GB, but they cannot pass on Ansah's raw talent. - MG

27. Houston Texans (12-4) - Robert Woods (WR/USC)

Andre Johnson isn't getting any younger and Houston will need to upgrade at the position.

28. Denver Broncos (13-3) - Sharrif Floyd (DT/Florida)

Denver doesn't have a DT under contract so this pick is necessary. - MG

29. New England Patriots (13-3) - Barrett Jones (C/Alabama)

Another versatile player for Belichick's system. - JW

30. Atlanta Falcons (13-3) - Zach Ertz (TE/Stanford)

With Gonzalez gone Atlanta adds a safety blanket for Matt Ryan. - MG

Ed Reed's future is unsure so it's logical to draft the heir to his throne in Baltimore. - MG
